Perceptions around mental healthWhen it comes to workplace mental health, it’s becoming clear there’s a strong difference in perceptions between employers and employees. New research indicates while employers feel they are making solid headway when it comes to mental health supports, employees aren’t seeing it - or at least aren’t feeling it. Not to mention, 25 per cent said their employer hasn’t made any positive changes in the last 18 months. If we’ve learned one thing from the last two years, it’s that mental health matters - both at home and at the office. The companies that are not only making it an organizational priority, but walking the talk, are going to come out stronger in the end. Employees who are mentally healthy and feel supported by their employer are more likely to stick around and produce - it goes directly back to the bottom line.
